Ah yes, the Jordan XVI. Even though I said I was kinda done with Jordans (Jordan Brand is fucking up the legacy) these kinda fell into my lap for cheap and honestly I love ’em. Made when MJ was no longer playing ball but up in the Wizards boardroom these shoes can be seen as a stylish, serious shoe but when you take the gaiters off you can take them to the court for some serious b-ball. This was the first time since the III legendary designer Tinker Hatfield wasn’t involved and it all kinda went downhill from here (except for the XXIII) so to me this is one of the last Jordans you can actually wear casually and get away with it. Let’s close it off with the full commercial that was made for the XVI where various Jordan athletes take it back to community. Plus Umi Says by Mos Def is used as the soundtrack, wich is a big plus.
